The security and integrity of your system is critical. While the Argus Training Program provides you with the tools you need to maintain and administer your system on a day to day basis, Argus Support Contracts are essential to maintaining the ongoing security of your critical systems.

Customers under a support contract with Argus receive direct access to the following support resources:

  • Unlimited telephone technical support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Electronic mail support
  • On-line support information
  • Argus product software updates (and includes maintenance patches, bug fixes and minor enhancements)
  • Argus product upgrades are available at a discounted cost

Before installing Argus software, customers are fully supported by Operating System (OS) vendors for the initial installation of the OS on their hardware. OS vendors provide a direct technical support hotline for the initial customer installations. Argus does not support a hardware configuration until it is correctly operating with the commercial OS.

Once customers elect to install Argus enhanced security products on their system, base OS support is provided via Argus. In order to maintain the integrity of certified Argus software, all OS vendor patches are checked for security relevance and conflict before they are released to customers. In some cases, OS patches may require integration with Argus products and a corresponding Argus product patch may also be required.

Argus is committed to providing its customers with responsive and high quality support. To ensure that Argus customers have timely access to OS patches and product upgrades, Argus maintains annual Alliance Support Contracts with OS vendors (Sun Microsystems and IBM). These relationships provide Argus with a prerelease of all patches and software upgrades, which can be tested and integrated with Argus software before release to customers.
