Argus Systems Group announces multilevel security (MLS) for Solaris® on x86/x64.

Argus Systems Group today announced the release of PitBull Foundation and PitBull Foundation Suite for Solaris 10 for the x86/x64 platform. Users can now upgrade to enhanced multilevel security (MLS) on a Solaris system. PitBull is built on proven and certified security technology and offers users the ability to protect Solaris systems at the core of the system, from within the kernel. PitBull Foundation is an add-on product that converts the operating system to a trusted operating system (TOS). At The Security Network’s 4th Annual Security Summit held in San Diego June 6 and 7, Argus Systems Group was awarded First Place for the Most Innovative Security Product in the Software Security Division. A panel of distinguished and very knowledge-able judges evaluated all the software security products represented at the event. Argus’s PitBull secure operating system products came out on top. Today Argus announced that its PitBull® Foundation Version 5.0 running on AIX 5L™ Version 5.3 for IBM’s System p™ servers has received Common Criteria certification for compliance with the Labeled Security Protection Profile (LSPP) at Evaluation Assurance Level 4 augmented (EAL4+).
